Transfer contacts and calendar from your Nokia N80 to the cloud server

In our guideline we will introduce PhoneCopy.com service which supports many phones from almost all manufacturers, including Nokia N80, and can be easily used to synchronize data between two or more devices.

This guideline also works for similar devices like Nokia 5500 Sport, Nokia E50, Nokia E61i, Nokia E70, Nokia N73, Nokia N92, Nokia N93i.

Phonecopy client registration is simple. Choose your username and insert your email address, where we will send you a confirmation email that you will need to activate your account.

Phone setup

To have your contacts saved you have to synchronize the Nokia with PhoneCopy. First step is to set up the synchronization on the Nokia. For better illustration, we've made some screenshots, but experienced users naturally won't need and will be able to set up the phone on their own, or following the device manual on PhoneCopy website. But back to the screenshots now: create a new synchronization profile in the menu:

Select Connect. Select Sync Select Options Select New sync profile

Type PhoneCopy into Sync profile name Select Applications Select Contacts Select Yes in the Include in sync field, type Contacts into Remote database field, type Normal into Synchronisation type field

Select Calendar Select Yes in the Include in sync field, type Calendar into Remote database field, type Normal into Synchronisation type field Select Notes Select Yes in the Include in sync field, type Notes into Remote database field, type Normal into Synchronisation type field

Select SMS Select Yes in the Include in sync field, type SMS into Remote database field, type Normal into Synchronisation type field Select Connection settings Type 1.2 into Server version field

Leave the Server ID field blank Select your Data bearer Select Always ask in the Acces point field Type http://www.phonecopy.com/sync into Host address field

Type 80 into Port field Type your user name into User name field Type your pasword into Pasword field Select Yes into Allow sync requests field

Type No into Accept all sync reqs. field Type No into Network authentic field. Select PhoneCopy Choose Options and select synchronise

After your phone is synchronized, go back to your PhoneCopy online profile (probably you will have it still open in the browser since you activated your account) and accept the assignment of your phone to the account. If you do it within the hour after the synchronization, the phone will be assigned automatically and you will only need to confirm the process. If the delay is greater than one hour, you will be asked by the server for the cellphone's identification number, called IMEI. This number can be easily found under the battery of the cellphone, or you can type in the symbols *#06# and the IMEI will appear on the display.

And now it's time to transfer data to your Microsoft Outlook 2016

Setup using Control Panel

Certain Outlook version do not offer similar functionality directly from the app so our guide will use Windows Control Panel widget. Depending on the Outlook version, the texts on the following screens may differ. Always aim towards setting up an email account via Exchange ActiveSync using custom settings.

Press Windows Start button, search for Control panel, find and open Mail.

Press E-mail Accounts button.

On the E-mail tab, select New....

Select Manual setup or additional server types. Press Next.

Select Outlook.com or Exchange ActiveSync compatible service (or simply Exchange ActiveSync in some Outlook versions). Press Next.

Fill in your account details. Use your PhoneCopy username (not email) followed by @www.phonecopy.com as you email and username. Press Next.

Account test should be performed. Press Close.

Press Finish. Now you can close all Control panel windows. Setup is complete.

Your data in Outlook

Now you can run Outlook app. Your contacts, calendar and tasks should be synchronized automatically. Note that PhoneCopy items have their separate folder and calendar in Outlook app. Only these contact/task folders and calendar are synchronized with PhoneCopy.

This guideline also works for similar devices like Microsoft Outlook 2013, Microsoft Outlook 2019.

Now you have all your contacts backed up on PhoneCopy and you can edit all your contacts in your online account. If you lose your phone or the stored data, or if you just run out of battery, you can see your contacts online.

Some additional tips:

You can easily remove duplicate items among your contact list or SMS messages. Just go to the Contacts (or SMS) section and choose More Actions -> Search for duplicates. Detailed wizard will help you to solve this kind of problem easily.
