Transfer contacts and calendar from your Nokia X6-00 to the cloud server

PhoneCopy.com is a web service which is free for personal purposes (with few limitations). This tutorial will show you how to backup your data from Nokia X6-00. The whole process can be completed in few minutes.

This guideline also works for similar devices like Nokia 5228, Nokia 5235 Ovi music unlimited, Nokia 5236, Nokia 5250, Nokia C5-04, Nokia C5-05, Nokia C5-06.

Phonecopy client registration is simple. Choose your username and insert your email address, where we will send you a confirmation email that you will need to activate your account.

Phone setup

To have your contacts saved you have to synchronize the Nokia with PhoneCopy. First step is to set up the synchronization on the Nokia. For better illustration, we've made some screenshots, but experienced users naturally won't need and will be able to set up the phone on their own, or following the device manual on PhoneCopy website. Create a new synchronization profile in the menu:

Select Settings Select Connectivity Select Data Transfer Select Sync

Follow the instructions to set up the connection. If you're only saving contacts, you can leave out some of the steps, or you can backup you calendar, tasks and notes as well.

Select New Sync Profile Start synchronization wizard Type Phonecopy Select 1.2

Select data to synchronize Fill: Contacts Fill: Calendar Fill: Notes

Fill: SMS Select Internet Enter http://www.phonecopy.com/sync Leave it empty

Fill username and password and then you can start the synchronization. You can select the data to be synchronized before starting. If you are transferring only contact, choose to transfer contacts only. However if you want to use PhoneCopy as a backup platform and you have made the corresponding settings, choose Calendar, Tasks and Notes as well.

Fill your username Fill your password Finish wizard Start the synchronization

After your phone is synchronized, go back to your PhoneCopy online profile (probably you will have it still open in the browser since you activated your account) and accept the assignment of your phone to the account. If you do it within the hour after the synchronization, the phone will be assigned automatically and you will only need to confirm the process. If the delay is greater than one hour, you will be asked by the server for the cellphone's identification number, called IMEI. This number can be easily found under the battery of the cellphone, or you can type in the symbols *#06# and the IMEI will appear on the display.

And now it's time to transfer data to your Microsoft Outlook 2019

Setup using Control Panel

Certain Outlook version do not offer similar functionality directly from the app so our guide will use Windows Control Panel widget. Depending on the Outlook version, the texts on the following screens may differ. Always aim towards setting up an email account via Exchange ActiveSync using custom settings.

Press Windows Start button, search for Control panel, find and open Mail.

Press E-mail Accounts button.

On the E-mail tab, select New....

Select Manual setup or additional server types. Press Next.

Select Outlook.com or Exchange ActiveSync compatible service (or simply Exchange ActiveSync in some Outlook versions). Press Next.

Fill in your account details. Use your PhoneCopy username (not email) followed by @www.phonecopy.com as you email and username. Press Next.

Account test should be performed. Press Close.

Press Finish. Now you can close all Control panel windows. Setup is complete.

Your data in Outlook

Now you can run Outlook app. Your contacts, calendar and tasks should be synchronized automatically. Note that PhoneCopy items have their separate folder and calendar in Outlook app. Only these contact/task folders and calendar are synchronized with PhoneCopy.

This guideline also works for similar devices like Microsoft Outlook 2013, Microsoft Outlook 2016.

Now you have all your contacts backed up on PhoneCopy and you can edit all your contacts in your online account. If you lose your phone or the stored data, or if you just run out of battery, you can see your contacts online.

Some additional tips:

On your online account, you will see full history of your contacts, as well as the data that you've deleted in between the synchronizations. You can find them in an archive from where you can restore them. And if this is still not enough of a backup for you, you can download a CSV file, that you can store in your computer.
